Annual Fall Arts & Crafts Festival

RMAC's Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival has been a mainstay of Rockaway for the past 25 years. It draws crowds over 10,000 visitors to Riis Park, Gateway National Recreation Area on Rockaway over the two-day weekend on which it is presented. Children of all ages are invited to this family fun weekend of arts, crafts, music, petting zoo, pony ride, and good food.

Summer Sunset Picnic Concert Series

RMAC's Summer Picnic Concert Series is an annual event held in historic Fort Tilden, Gateway National Recreation Area. These performances are a direct offshoot of a series of concerts once held at BeachChannel HS, which featured some of the greatest performers such as Benny Goodman, Lorin Hollander, Roberta Peters, and Itzhak Perlman. The hundreds of people attending bring their own chairs, blankets, food, etc., and enjoy the performance.

Student Literary Arts

Literary Arts for students is a new event focused on introducing students to the literary arts. The program will offer students the opportunity to write stories or poems and present their works to the community and their fellow students.

School Programs
RMAC sponsors and offers to our local schools programs developed by The Riverside Symphony, the NYC Opera, and
the New York City Center. These programs were specifically developed to introduce students to the performing arts.

Day and Overnight Trips

RMAC plans spring and fall trips to many educational and interesting sites.
